Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness

This course aims to provide participants with an understanding of the complex nature of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence; the roles that everyone has to play in identifying, supporting and signposting those affected by it and to promote positive and effective outcomes through partnership working and good practice.

Who is this training for?
This workshop is intended for all professionals working with children who wish to improve their knowledge of Domestic Abuse.
Participants must have completed the Domestic Abuse Training eLearning (or equivalent) before being accepted on this course.

By the end of the session you will:

  • Be able to demonstrate recognition of domestic abuse and/or sexual violence and its impact upon victims and their families.

  • Feel more informed about the systems and processes of early identification, intervention including the MARAC Process, referral and support available from agencies.

Duration: Half Day (9:30am to 12:30pm)

The course booking process for all Cumbria County Council staff members has changed to self-service, resulting in staff booking their own courses through MyHR.
